Hi all,

I am chasing up my McLeay line from Blarnabee, Ross and Breachachy Inverness. They married McIvor, Campbell and Frasers. They went to Tasmania Australia in 1855 and Colin McLeay married Alexandrina Munro from Armadale Scotland; they met in Victoria Australia. In particular I am looking for the death of Farquhar McLeay about 1836. His youngest son Colin is in the parish registers at Kilmorack in 1836 and his wife Ann McLeay née Campbell is listed as a Crofters widow in the 1941 Kilmorack census. There was a newspaper report when his daughter Ann died in Tasmania that she was the granddaughter of Donald McLeay of the 77th Rosshire Heilanders. I am interested in this Donald McLeay. Eliz

I am not following that line but multiple persons following Beattie/Beatty in Fermanagh Gold list. Try the archives of rootsweb.
