I found Duncan McAulay was from Kilchoman in the Scottish Census. He was born there about 1795 and married Rachel McLellan in Glasgow about 1824.

My Islay ancestry goes back to Alexander McCaog 1761-1843 (various spellings) and Flora McNeil 1776-1836, both of Bowmore (married 29 Mar 1789 at Bowmore) via Colin, illegitimate son their son
