Re: Ancestry news
I have a friend who works for ancestry and I asked him what difference it would make. He said ancestry has been sold several times over the years and he doesm't think it will make any difference.

Just a heads up that Ancestry is going to remove DNA matches below 8cM by early August.
Here is an article a cousin on another mailing list forwarded which is very helpful in explaining it all and

Is your family stuck on what to get you for your birthday or Christmas? Or perhaps you’re trying to find the perfect gift for someone who is “into” genealogy and Scotland just like you? This

I am so glad you told me this. I am having the same problem multiple files all created in Family tree maker for past 35 years and I do no know how to intergrade them to one file. Nor did I know what

Hi Everyone,
Dugald Campbell, above, and his spouse relocated from Campbeltown to Giol, Islay around 1804.
Sons John and Alexander appear to have been baptized in Campbeltown.

Hi Ken,
Thanks for the info and the correction.
Sorry, as per my reply to Flora, I should have read the report generated by my genealogy program
more closely.
