No, my people sailed to New York from Islay with Captain Campbell in 1738 on the Argyle Patent. Names were Neal McArthur, Mary Campbell and their children, John, Charles, and Christine. I’m sure they left family behind in Islay, but without more details on them pre-1738, I don’t know how to identity other family. Once they land in America, I can trace their movements fairly easily, all the way to Canada after the Revolutionary War, and up to these current generations of myself and my son.
